STRAIGHT AND WAVY TEXTURES
What to expect when you open your package:
You will experience our signature floral fragrance, a result of our CoWash prior to shipment.
**Pre-Installation**
Always wash your hair extensions before installation while leaving the zip-ties intact. This allows you to evaluate the bundles. If you notice any abnormalities, please contact us immediately for resolution.
**Installation**
Use the over and out method when installing your hair. We recommend doubling the track by folding the weft in half to ensure the beards are inward and not touching the scalp. Avoid piercing the wefts, as this can lead to excessive shedding. You may seal your wefts with a high-quality sealant. Only cut your wefts when absolutely necessary.
**Weekly Maintenance**
A conditioner-only wash (CoWash) is recommended 2-3 times per week to retain moisture and cleanse any build-up that could cause matting or tangling. For deep conditioning, use a thick conditioner with smoothing properties to reduce unwanted frizz.
**For the ultimate CoWash experience, follow these steps:**
1. Part your hair into 7-10 sections before your shower or hair bath.
2. Detangle each section using a wide-tooth comb or wavy hair brush, starting from the roots to the tips.
3. Saturate hair completely with water.
4. Start from the bottom of the install, parting your hair and gathering 1-inch sections, tying up the rest on top of your head.
5. Generously lather each section with conditioner and brush from ends to roots. Complete 2 brush-outs on each section to ensure proper detangling.
6. Repeat throughout the entire install.
7. Your hair should be detangled and saturated with conditioner. Twist it into a bun or braid and let the conditioner sit for 15-20 minutes, avoiding massaging to prevent frizz.
8. Rinse thoroughly. For extra waves, scrunch or set in rollers. Dry with a cotton hair towel, microfiber towel, or t-shirt to minimize frizz.
9. Apply a dime-sized amount of smoothing oil or glossing polish if desired. Allow to air dry.
10. Between installs or once a month, use an intensive hair masque or hot oil treatment for longevity.
**Daily Care**
Brush or comb through to style. Use an alcohol-free glossing polish or hair serum for shine and frizz control as needed. Excessive product may lead to stiff hair, causing matting and tangling. When build-up occurs, it’s time for a CoWash!
Always use heat protectant when heat styling to avoid damage. Excessive heat can alter the original wave pattern and integrity of the hair.
**Bed-time Care**
Before bed, put hair into a high ponytail or roll into a bun to enhance the wave pattern. Apply a satin scarf or bonnet to reduce frizz and fly-aways. For bouncy waves, style with flexi-rods. In the morning, remove overnight protection and comb through starting at the ends.

**CURLED TEXTURES**
**What to expect when you open your package:**
Upon arrival, you may notice a light floral fragrance due to our signature co-wash and deep conditioning prior to shipment. Your curly hair may need some revival to restore its beauty. Please avoid running your fingers through it in a dry state to prevent tangling and excess frizz.
Due to the initial wefting process, you may experience a few loose hairs during your initial CoWash. This is normal and should reduce significantly after the first few washes. Expect minimal shedding with a proper haircare regimen. Note that there is a difference between shedding and breakage.
**Pre-installation**
Always wash your hair extensions before installation while keeping the zip-ties intact. This allows for evaluation of the bundles. If you notice any issues, please contact us immediately.
**Installation**
Use the over and out method when installing your extensions. Although our wefts are designed for minimal shedding, refrain from piercing them, as this can affect longevity. Only cut your wefts when absolutely necessary, as this may lead to excess shedding. Sealing your wefts with a high-quality sealant is optional.
**Maintenance**
For curly hair, a conditioner-only wash (CoWash) is recommended 3 times per week. This step is essential for optimal results.
**Products you will need:**
- Moisturizing Conditioner
- Curl Sealant/Curl Cream (optional)
- Denman Brush
- Hair Clips
- Hair Scrunchie
What Causes Hair to Curl?
The perfect balance of protein and moisture!
Curly hair tends to be more porous than straight hair, meaning it absorbs moisture from the air, leading to expansion or swelling, especially in humid conditions. When curly hair lacks moisture, it can swell and the cuticles may become rough, which can disrupt the curl pattern and make the hair look less appealing. This can also lead to tangling and matting. Therefore, it’s essential to follow a proper care routine to address these challenges.
With a consistent hair care regimen and deep conditioning, your hair will be more manageable, softer, and less prone to breakage and frizz.
**Steps:**
1. In the shower, section your hair into 5-6 parts using hair clips before getting it wet. This makes handling curly textures easier.
2. Thoroughly wet each section while keeping them separated.
3. Apply conditioner section by section, using a Denman brush to work it through, starting from the ends. Detangling is easier when done in sections.
4. After detangling, deep condition for 15-30 minutes.
5. Time to rinse! For kinkier textures, consider leaving a bit of conditioner in while rinsing; this acts as a leave-in and helps retain moisture. For looser curls, rinse thoroughly to avoid weighing down the hair. Adjust based on your desired style!
6. After the CoWash process, move on to Curl Definition.
**Curl Definition:**
1. Divide your hair into 3-4 sections and detangle completely with a Denman brush. It’s important to ensure all curls are thoroughly brushed out to avoid future issues.
2. Create a mix of 2/3 water and 1/3 conditioner in a spray bottle. Spray each section until fully saturated.
3. Apply a light sealing cream to lock in moisture. Use the Denman brush to distribute the product evenly. You should see the coils starting to form without friction if you detangled properly.
4. After washing, use a cotton T-shirt to scrunch each section, which helps define the coils and minimize dripping.
5. With your hair still sectioned, use a blow dryer with a diffuser attachment to dry it until it’s about 60% dry. The diffuser helps prevent frizz and sets your curls, though air drying is also an option.
6. **LEAVE THE COILS ALONE.** Avoid touching or running your fingers through your hair while it dries.
7. Refresh with the water/conditioner spray as needed between washes.
8. Once a month or between installs, consider using an intensive hair masque or hot oil treatment to prolong the life of your extensions.
9. Always apply heat protectant when styling to prevent damage. Remember, excessive heat can alter the original curl pattern and integrity of the hair, just like with your natural hair.
**Bedtime/Daily Care:**
Before bed, gather your hair into a high ponytail or large braids and wear a satin scarf or bonnet. This helps maintain your curl pattern and reduces frizz while you sleep.
When you’re ready to style, remove the ponytail or braids and spritz your hair with the water/conditioner mix to activate the leave-in product. Section your hair and brush from tips to roots, scrunch gently, and allow it to air dry. Minimize manipulation to prevent excess frizz.

LACE PRODUCTS
Lace products can be CoWashed using the methods mentioned. However, please be aware that lace products are sensitive, so use minimal tension.
Our lace products are crafted using a ventilation method similar to crochet, designed to look very natural and not "wiggy." To achieve this effect, the first few rows on your lace items are single-knotted starting from the hairline, gradually becoming double-knotted for added durability. Please note that closures and frontals are expected to last 3-4 installations with proper care.
You may also notice short hairs on lace products known as "return hairs." These occur when the hair is knotted onto the lace, resulting in a short piece on one side of the knot (usually 2-3 inches) with the longer hair on the other side. Coarser textures may have more noticeable return hairs. These can be tamed with a wax stick and a hot comb.
**IN CONCLUSION**
Having the right hair regimen and realistic expectations is crucial, especially if you want your hair to maintain its beauty for years to come. Whether you are a first-time Saudade girl or trying a new texture, we are always here to help. After this, we hope you feel prepared to conquer any texture!
